| What is a Compression-Bonded Fiberglass Airframe? |
-A phenolic core is laminated with 10 oz fiberglass cloth, saturated with Aeropoxy resin.
-AEROPOXY resin, we promise. Used by Burt Rutan. We don't use polyster resin which is cheap, inferior, smelly, and carcenogenic. Always ask for "epoxy" resin. Never accept polyster products. |
| -The laminate is then compression-bonded under enormously high pressure.
- - - better than vacuum or tape-wrap - - - |
| -For additional strength, the AEROPOXY is then heat-cured. |
| Ready to Finish! |
-Glossy and smooth.
-So shiny, in fact, you can see your reflection. So we suggest a light scuffing before painting. |
-No grooves to fill!.
-Did we mention that its really smooth and shiny? |

dyna-Wind composite tubing is very, very strong (laminated with 10 oz fiberglass and AEROPOXY resin). dyna-Wind composite tubing is light (about 10% heavier than plain phenolic) dyna-Wind composite tubing fits industry standard cones, rings and bulkheads. dyna-Wind composite tubing is reasonably priced (example: 7.5" filament-wound= $237, Dyna-wind 7.5" = $99). dyna-Wind composite tubing is safe...it absorbs CA and Epoxy (in fact, it is epoxy). |
